Marvel Snap Made $2 Million In First Week

Marvel Snap has been downloaded 5.3 million times and amassed over $2 million in revenue in the first week after launch, according to a report.

A report from mobilegamer.biz, which utilizes data from Appmagic and Sensor Tower, states that Marvel Snap is the number one game on the App Store in the USA and Canada. It’s near or at the top of the charts throughout Europe. The game is not available in China, but is at sixth in Korea and seventh in Japan. As for Google Play, Marvel Snap is number one in Canada, France, Germany, the UK and Italy. It’s second in the US, third in Australia, fourth in Japan, and fifth in Korea.

These data points put it in competition with other massive games in their first week. Diablo Immortal, for example, earned $11.5 million from 6.1 million downloads, though it went on to make over $100 million in approximately eight weeks. Tower of Fantasy earned $8.7 million from 2.1 million downloads and Apex Legends Mobile earned $3.6 million from 10 million downloads.

The US users have purchased the most stuff in the game, for $1.2 million, and downloaded it the most times, at 1.3 million. In terms of revenue, the Philippines are second ($186k) then Korea ($142k), Australia ($141k), and Japan ($133k). In downloads, Brazil is in second (433k), then Italy (342k), Indonesia (325k) and Thailand (256k). Google Play has 3.8 million downloads in comparison to the App Store’s 1.5 million. However, $1.3 million in revenue was generated via the App Store versus $737k via Google Play.
