All The Harry Potter Movies Return To HBO Max, Bringing 10 Star Trek Movies With
Streaming services and licenses are weird, and that means that the Harry Potter series, despite being Warner Bros. productions, sometimes leave HBO Max, a Warner Bros. Discovery service. But now, Harry Potter and all his magical friends are returning to the service, and a whole load of Star Trek is coming with them for the ride, Variety reports.
The Wizarding World films had been over at NBC Universal’s Peacock service, with which HBO Max has been trading joint custody for a few years, Variety notes. The movies left Peacock on August 31, and will fly into HBO Max Wingardium Leviosa-style on November 1.
Alongside Harry Potter, we’ll also be getting lots of James T. Kirk and Jean Luc Picard, as 10 Star Trek movies will join the service. They left Paramount+, Star Trek’s streaming home, on October 1. The movies include Star Trek: The Motion Picture Director’s Edition, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, Star Trek VI: Undiscovered Country Director’s Cut, Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek: Insurrection, and Star Trek” Nemesis.
Alongside these big properties, November will also see the premieres of Titans Season 4 on November 3, The Sex Lives of College Girls on November 17, Shaq (a Shaquille O’Neal docu-series), and Love, Lizzo. November 17 is also the premiere date for A Christmas Story Christmas, in which Ralphie–once again played by original actor Peter Billingsley–returns to his childhood home.
In the meantime, check out the best action, science fiction, and horror movies on HBO Max, and a list of all the shows and movies the service has removed since the Warner Bros. Discovery merger was completed.
