Bryce Dallas Howard Joins Star Wars: Tales Of The Jedi As Master Yaddle
The Star Wars universe is filled with thousands upon thousands of characters. Some get their own movie, others are just blurry in the background of iconic scenes, maybe waiting for their time to get noticed. Jedi Master Yaddle was introduced as a background character in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace and made her way through cameos in Star Wars books and comics, but nothing sustainable.
The upcoming Disney+ series Tales of the Jedi will remedy that as Yaddle heads to the forefront and will be voiced by Bryce Dallas Howard, who has made her own presence known with Star Wars having directed several episodes of the megahit series, The Mandalorian.
Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi was officially announced before this year’s Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim. The upcoming series will consist of six animated anthology shorts that will be released starting tomorrow, October 26. The first trailer arrived in September and showed a younger cast of characters that we’ve been familiar with, so the reveal of Yaddle was an interesting surprise.
Disney+’s Obi-Wan Kenobi series canonized other Jedi characters that have only been mentioned and seen in media before the Disney purchase of Lucasfilm. Jedi Masters Quinlan Vos, Valin Halycon, Roganda Ismaren, and Djinn Altis were all named, which haven’t been heard from or seen since the New Jedi Order book series. Star Wars: Tales of The Jedi could have similar surprises in store.
Each episode will feature Jedi from the era of the prequel trilogy with half of the episodes focusing on Count Dooku, while the other will focus on Ahsoka Tano. Much like Yaddle, other Jedi are featured as supporting characters in the shorts as well.
