Destiny 2: Season 23 Weapons Preview and Thorn Catalyst Details Revealed
Destiny 2’s Season 23 is just around the corner and Bungie has revealed some of the weapons and the Thorn Catalyst that players can expect to see. The new season will bring with it a variety of new weapons, including a new Exotic, as well as a new Catalyst for the fan-favorite weapon, Thorn. Here’s a look at what players can expect from the upcoming season.
First up is the new Exotic weapon, the Splinter of Darkness. This weapon is a Void-based Sniper Rifle that has a unique perk called Shadowshot. This perk allows players to mark an enemy and then fire a Void projectile that will track the marked target and deal bonus damage. It also has a unique reload animation that will cause the weapon to split into two parts before reassembling itself.
Next up is the new Catalyst for the fan-favorite weapon, Thorn. This Catalyst will increase the weapon’s damage output and allow it to fire faster. It will also grant players access to a new perk called Soul Devourer. This perk will cause enemies killed with Thorn to drop additional motes of Light that can be used to charge up your Super.
Finally, there are a variety of other weapons that will be available during Season 23. These include a variety of Kinetic and Energy weapons, as well as a few Exotics. Some of these weapons include the Iron Banner Auto Rifle, the Crucible Pulse Rifle, and the Gambit Scout Rifle. All of these weapons will have their own unique perks and abilities that players can take advantage of.
