First Image From Prime Video’s Fallout Show Debuts
The Fallout TV series has seen many leaks so far that have revealed the show’s sets, but Amazon Studios has now released the first official image of the upcoming post-apocalyptic program.
Released today to celebrate Fallout’s 25th anniversary, the image shows members of Vault 33 opening the vault to see the bright light of day. This teaser, along with previous leaks, seems to confirm that the Fallout show will take place inside Vault 33 and out in the irradiated world.
The Fallout TV series is being produced by Kilter Films, the production company run by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. Take a look at the teaser below.
Back in 2021, Joy offered a small tease on the series’ planned tone, saying it’s “just a gonzo, crazy, funny, adventure and a mindf**k like none you’ve ever seen before.” On Bethesda’s side, game director Todd Howard is producing the untitled Fallout show alongside director of publishing operations James Altman.
The Fallout TV series is one of a handful of upcoming video game productions in the works at Amazon. Earlier this year, Amazon signed dj2 Entertainment to a first-look deal to create gaming content for Prime Video, including potential adaptations of Life Is Strange and Disco Elysium.
Amazon has not yet announced a release date for the Fallout TV series.
As for the Fallout game series, 2018’s Fallout 76 is the latest entry in the series. Developer Bethesda Game Studios’ next project is Starfield, which releases sometime in the first half of 2023. Bethesda is also working on Fallout 5, but it probably won’t be here for a very long time.
