In his own tweet, Gaiman said, “The rumors are true. Netflix is thrilled that so many of you have been watching Sandman, and the thing we were all hoping would happen… has indeed happened…”
The Sandman premiered in August and was watched for 69.5 million hours in its first three days. The confirmation of a Season 2 comes not long after a DC Comics tweeted about a new season and then deleted that tweet.
There is no word yet as to when The Sandman Season 2 will premiere or any other details on the sophomore season, but keep checking back with GameSpot for more.
The Sandman stars Tom Sturridge as Morpheus. The show is based on Gaiman’s DC Comics series. Gaiman is also known for Coraline, American Gods, and Good Omens, among others.
