New The Lords Of The Fallen Gameplay Trailer Debuts At The Game Awards

After debuting their new project at Gamescom Opening Night Live back in August, CI Games and Hexworks have revealed the first gameplay trailer for The Lords Of The Fallen, which featured during The Game Awards on December 8.

The trailer–which was narrated by Milly Alcock of House of the Dragon fame–showcases the desolate world of the upcoming sequel, which is set 1,000 years after the original Lords Of The Fallen, which launched in October 2014. We not only see the hero’s arsenal of attacks, but multiple enemy types and defensive options are also shown.

The world of The Lords Of The Fallen will be five times as large as its predecessor, and it will play host to “a huge roster” of non-playable characters to find and receive quests from in an “expansive” RPG system. Combat alternates between familiar melee combat and magic, with a slew of offensive and defensive spells available throughout the game.

Finally, the game will feature a full co-op online experience–which the official press release calls “seamless world exploration”–as well as a full slate of customization options to allow players to build their warrior as they desire.

The Lords Of The Fallen will launch in 2023 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
