Obsidian Reportedly Developed a Proposal for a New Elder Scrolls Game Inspired by Fallout: New Vegas
Obsidian Entertainment, the developers behind Fallout: New Vegas, have reportedly developed a proposal for a new Elder Scrolls game that is inspired by Fallout: New Vegas. This news comes from a recent report from Bloomberg, which claims that the proposal was presented to Bethesda Softworks, the publisher of the Elder Scrolls series.
The proposal reportedly includes a “single-player, story-driven” game set in the Elder Scrolls universe. It would also feature a “modernized” version of the classic Fallout: New Vegas engine, which would allow for more detailed graphics and a more immersive experience. The game would also include a “vast” open world, similar to the one featured in Fallout: New Vegas.
Obsidian Entertainment is no stranger to developing games set in the Elder Scrolls universe. They previously developed two games in the series, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Both games were critically acclaimed and are considered some of the best games in the series.
If Bethesda Softworks decides to move forward with the proposal, it could be a major win for both Obsidian Entertainment and Bethesda Softworks. Obsidian Entertainment would get to work on a new game set in the beloved Elder Scrolls universe, while Bethesda Softworks would get to expand their already successful franchise.
It remains to be seen if Bethesda Softworks will accept Obsidian Entertainment’s proposal for a new Elder Scrolls game inspired by Fallout: New Vegas. However, if they do, fans of the series could be in for an exciting new installment.
