Where Is Xur Today? (December 16-20) – Destiny 2 Exotic Items And Xur Location Guide

The year might be coming to a close, but there’s no rest for your resident Agent of the Nine in Destiny 2. Xur has popped back for another visit to the Solar system, and as usual, he has a fresh inventory of rare and Exotic armors and weapons. Here’s where you can find Xur and what Exotics he’s selling this week.

This week you can find Xur in the Tower, in the Hangar area. For his weapon, Xur is offering Graviton Lance. Hunters can pick up the Khepri’s Sting gauntlets, Titans can grab Armamentarium armor, and for Warlocks, Xur has the Verity’s Brow helmet.

Xur Location

Xur’s location in the Tower.

Spawn in using the Courtyard transmat zone in the Tower to find Xur this week. Head left and down the stairs to enter the Hangar section, then hang another left. Make your way to the north end of the area and look for a staircase that will take you onto a catwalk, where Xur is waiting.

Xur is present every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET each Friday. His exact location is always a mystery when he first arrives, as he is not listed on the map, and for novice players, he can be easy to miss. However, there are a set number of locations where he takes up residence, including the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher’s Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ.

Exotic Weapons

Graviton Lance

It doesn’t just look great, it has one of the best firing sound effects in the game.

A classic that harkens back to the first year of Destiny 2, Graviton Lance is still a fantastic Void-energy pulse rifle to have equipped. It fires in a two-burst vertical spread, with the second shot doing increased damage compared to the first. Not just great for landing critical hits, defeating an enemy will make them erupt into mini-Void grenades, doing extra damage around them.

Dead Man’s Tale

Dead Man’s Tale is definitely worth picking up this week, as Christmas clearly came early with its perk roll. It’s not only rocking Armor-Piercing Rounds and Fitted Stock, it has a Subsistence perk that will partially reload the magazine from reserves. For anyone looking for a good crowd-clearing weapon for trash mobs, this is the scout rifle to get this week.

  • Smallbore
  • Armor-Piercing Rounds
  • Subsistence
  • Fitted Stock

Hawkmoon

Hawkmoon isn’t too bad either this week, thanks to a one-two punch of great perks. Surplus works great if you don’t mind keeping your abilities in reserve as this will increase stats for the hand cannon, but Alloy Magazine is a great extra with this roll. Hawkmoon’s Paracausal Shot perk is reserved for the last round in the chamber, and with Alloy Magazine, you’ll be getting a quicker reload once you’ve landed that heavy-damage round on an enemy.

  • Smallbore
  • Alloy Magazine
  • Surplus
  • Textured Grip

Exotic Armor

Khepri’s Sting

The Exotic that non-Hunters hate the most in PvP.

Khepri’s Sting has seen plenty of use in PvP, and with Void being a very useful subclass to focus on this season, it’s worth grabbing these gauntlets if you’re planning a Nightstalker build. Basically turning you invisible thanks to its Touch of Venom perk, Hunters rocking this build have been such a menace that Bungie had to step in. Even with some of its effectiveness removed, this is still a great Exotic to have for competitive activities.

  • Strength: 17
  • Total: 63

Armamentarium

Here comes the boom.

How good is an extra grenade for a Titan compared to other Exotic armor abilities? Plenty, if you spec right with this particular armor. Each season usually has a mod worth unlocking on the Seasonal Artifact that buffs grenade damage, so doubling down on explosives never hurts when you’re running high-level PvE missions. Throw in some Bountiful Wells, Seeking Wells, and Explosive Ordinance armor mods on your build, and you’ll be doing plenty of explosive damage constantly.

  • Resilience: 8
  • Recovery: 11
  • Discipline: 20
  • Intellect: 9
  • Strength: 2
  • Total: 62

Verity’s Brow

Everyone gets a grenade with Verity’s Brow.

Another grenade-centric Exotic that also has teamwork elements in its design, Verity’s Brow works well with Arc subclasses. With the right weapon, mods, and tactics, you can use this Exotic to augment your damage output, recharge your grenade energy quickly, and keep your fireteam in the fight for longer by giving them some extra grenade regeneration energy.

  • Resilience: 12
  • Recovery: 18
  • Discipline: 9

  • Strength: 13
  • Total: 63
